Mottisfont Abbey, Hampshire, England: The abbey was established as a Augustinian Priory in 1201. It fell on hard times after being affected by the Black Death in the mid-14th century and was turned into a country estate. In the 1930’s it became the center of a fashionable artistic and political circle led by Maud and Gilbert Russell. Today it is operated by The National Trust.
