England 2010 – Isle of Wight and Dungeness
We are fortunate to be able to travel to England reasonably often to visit family and friends. Recently we were able to establish a tradition with Eileen, Doris, Pat and Dennis to have a mini-holiday within the main trip. This time we were able to spend a number of days on the Isle of Wight - a place that the English know and love but is off the radar of most visitors to England.
When we were visiting Shar’s father in Ashford, we had an enjoyable day visiting Dymchurch and Dungeness on the Kent coastline (the fish and chips here is the best I have ever had.) Shar spent a number of summer holidays here when she was growing up.
